Lontana Group calculates its 2024 carbon footprint and reinforces its emission reduction measures

On the occasion of World Day for the Reduction of CO₂ Emissions (28 January), Lontana Group shares the progress made in measuring its environmental impact and the actions it is promoting to continue reducing it.

During 2024, the Group calculated its carbon footprint in accordance with the GHG Protocol standard, obtaining a total of 2,684.13 tCO₂eq.

If it is total:

  • - Scope 1: 623.42 tCO₂eq, corresponding to direct emissions from the vehicle fleet and energy used in production processes..
  • - Scope 2: 2,060.71 tCO₂eq, associated with indirect emissions from electricity, steam and heat consumption. In most of the Group's companies, Scope 2 emissions are zero thanks to a commitment to purchasing energy with a guarantee of renewable origin.
  • This calculation allows us to ascertain the real impact of the Group's activity and guide decisions on improvement and reduction. At the same time, Lontana Group is working on various lines of action to advance decarbonisation, including reducing energy consumption, using energy with a guarantee of renewable origin and committing to photovoltaic energy.
  • With this step, Lontana Group continues to advance in its commitment to building a solid, efficient and responsible industrial group with a long-term vision.
