At Lontana Group we take care of our environment. To this end, we have established a series of guidelines aimed at preventing or reducing the environmental impact that we may have in our daily working environment.
Sustainable use of resources
The economy is evolving towards a production and consumption model in which products remain in the value chain for as long as possible, increasing reuse and minimizing waste generation.
In line with this strategy, we work to ensure that our water and energy consumption is as efficient as possible – and that our waste generation is as low as possible.
Fighting climate change
Lontana Group promotes the use of energy from renewable sources and works on actions to reduce emissions.
We calculate our carbon footprint with the aim of working to reduce it to the lowest possible level.
A study was made of the GHG emissions deriving from our activity during 2022 in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol GHG PROTOCOL.
That protocol provides us with a key management tool in the company’s orientation towards the process of decarbonization, adaptation and mitigation of climate change.
- According to data from the report, in 2022, the carbon footprint of the organization as a whole was 1,754.66 tCO2e.
- Across most of the Group’s companies, Scope 2 emissions are zero thanks to our commitment to purchasing energy with guaranteed renewable origins.
Environmental management systems
Four of our centres are certified according to the ISO 14001:2015 standard, a fundamental basis for environmental management, and we are increasing the number of certified centres and companies in the Group every year.
The contribution of each and every person in the Lontana Group is essential to ensuring good environmental performance. That is why we carry out numerous environmental awareness campaigns.
